Thread 9 is stitched! Plushies in Progress too!

Hello Dears,

A few updates for today, since the pollen has dissipated well enough for me to want to do more than just lay in bed all day and eat chocolate. I finally finished Thread 9 of 'The Red Thread Tapestry'

In this thread...

  • Owen gets a bit more character development and shows us what a truly fair and caring leader he is.
  • We get a glimpse at just how hostile the situation is between the Godsfear and the Feybloods.
  • When Shannon Goldlion brings her suspicions about the Church's High Priestess to the Feyblood High Priest, he gives her one of their most sacred books. Will she have the courage to peer inside and have its secrets revealed to her? Find out!

I've also got some more work done on my Zecora plushie this week. Her tail is proving more complex than I thought and I realize after starting it that there was a better way. Still, its looking great and I'm hoping to get her legs sewn and stuffed by the end of the week. I'll post pictures once the body base is put together.

That's all for now dears!

The pollen...THE POLLEN!!

Hello Dears, So I'm doing a bit of a mobile update from my handy smart phone today (so please excuse typos and auto correct errors) due to the fact I haven't posted any progress this week. Due to a mild winter here in the DC metro area, all the pollen is coming out all at once leaving me among the barely-awake, cloud-headed sufferers. But I did manage to finish Thread 9 and will hopefully have it up on fiction press this evening. I also started in the Druid Zecora plushie. I'm rather excited about it since its for me and I'm going to implement a crucial change to the tail design to make it much sturdier than previous plushies. I'm hoping to complete her before this year's Bronycon so I can take her with me as a portfolio piece. Well that's all for now. I need to find my way to some allery pills and eye drops. Have a good day dears! -Ori

Pinkie Pie Plushie and Comissions Update!

Hello Dears,

It looks like my Pinkie Pie Plushie Pony Project (say that 3 times fast!) is complete. Take a look!

I took a few liberties with the hair embroidery, as I know pinkies hair details are darker on the show, I wanted the lines to pop and be more noticeable.

I've adjusted my commission schedule a tad, as I wont be able to start on the succubus horns until I can get my claws on the proper material.

I have gotten quite a few requests from friends and family, but my commissions are still open and I still have an open slot for may if anyone would like to take advantage of that. You'll be able to see what upcoming projects I have by looking to the left.

Other than that, the next chapter of The Red Thread Tapestry is ready to be posted. I just have a few last minute tweaks to do and then it should be good to go.

Have a happy weekend, dears!

Bonnie Bell is here!

Hello Dears,

I know its been a while since my last post. I've been a bit busy with work and play, trying to get some plushie requests done for family as well as one for myself.

I finished my first Cervine Seasonal Spirit. Say hello to Bonnie Bell, the Spirit of Spring!

Lucky the pup is a trooper and too cute!
Her spring theme is daffodils and maypoles, even though the end result looks a bit more "lolita" than I intended but I think she came out well.

I'm currently finishing up a Pinkie Pie plushie for my mother, then after that I have a Zecora to do for myself and an Applebloom and Applejack for my family in Japan! So they'll be living close to Tiny Fluttershy, relatively speaking.

I will be attending Steam Punk con this may, and I think there might be a brony-con in my future. I'll probably do a Zecora costume as she's one of my favorites and very wise, so wanting to dress up like her would be no surprise.

Good night dears,

Lucky's got a brand new bag, Fluttershy's Adventure!

Hello Dears,

I have two exciting stories to share with you all tonight. First of all, I sent a photo in for the WeLoveFine March T-Shirt contest. Remember that post way back when, when I mentioned "hey, I should totally submit this picture to their contest? Well I did, and look what happened!

We won! We won! 2nd place but we WON!

Congratulations to the awesome Rainbow Dash cosplayer who won first place. What shall I do with my 25.00$ gift card prize? Wait for the end of the shirt design competition, that's what :)

And now for our second fun story for the evening: Fluttershy's new Adventure! About a week or so ago, I shipped Tiny Totem Fluttershy to her new home in Singapore with Mr. L. Well she arrived way ahead of schedule and Mr. L sent me some really adorable pictures of Tiny Fluttershy at her new job!

And now...Tiny Totem Fluttershy's grand debut in Singapore:

First thing's first! Tiny Fluttershy isn't a mooch-- she got herself a job as an IT professional at EMC. It is a far cry from her critter-whispering days in Ponyville, but I think she can handle it. Have confidence in your newly-found tech skills, girlie!

Fluttershy is dwarfed by the servers! All that information, all that data! Will she be able to protect it from parasprites!? She'll do her best, I'm sure.

Checking for parasprites is all a part of the job in the IT department, something Tiny Fluttershy takes VERY seriously.

Finally, Fluttershy has the ability to get online to chat with all her many fans...just stay away from certain sites, or horrors might await you, oh gentle soul and don't let your boss catch you chatting on the job!

Fluttershy explores the museum of innovation! I bet she's wondering: "why don't these human beings just fly over to visit with friends?"

"Granny Smith, what's a 'rotary phone?'"

After a hard day's work, Fluttershy decides these humans might be on to something with their fancy automobiles. She decides to accompany her new human friend home via taxi.

This the last stop on Fluttershy's amazing Singapore debut! Her new home in the city, lets just hope she enjoys her stay in her new home. Thanks so much for sending these adorable pictures along Mr. L.!

That's all for now dears,

Spring Fawn's Moment Dawns!

Hello Dears,

I have a few exciting things to talk about today. Firstly, before I go into my plushie progress, I got the custom, "white doe" mask I ordered from B3 Leather Designs

Roland's work and craftsmanship is amazing, and he works very fast given the level of detail he puts into his work. He is very responsive and works with you to develop the design of your mask and, as you can see below, the results are amazing!

You can see more B3 Leather Designs here: http://senorwong.deviantart.com/gallery/
I'm planning on registering for the Fertile Ground Festival this May, and I plan on wearing it there as well as to the Renaissance fair this year, so look for the lady with the white deer and holly mask. I'll probably be sitting at the White Hart, drinking some stout and crafting something.

And speaking of crafting...

I've actually got two items on display for this evening's "Plushie Progress" part of the post. First off, as it turns out, Tiny Totem Fluttershy needed hair extensions to go with MLP Fluttershy's tail ones! The buyer asked for me to make the hair more layered and this is what I managed to come up with:

Don't tell "Gabby Gums" about Fluttershy's hair tech!
I also managed to finish the first in my line of deer-themed seasonal Totem plushies. While I will be doing a highly-detailed set of 4 Seasonal Cirvine Spirits, this lesser line will be a bit easier on the fingers for me, and a bit easier on the wallet for those who might want one to cuddle and love.  Introducing, none other than the Spring Fawn!

A larger image can be found on my DA site: http://matsuban.deviantart.com
This particular little fawn is made out of blonde and brown fleece (the blonde fleece should look familiar Fluttershy fans!), poly-fil and hand embroidered. Like all my work, she's 100% hand made, but a bit more rugged than my ponies, for the sheer fact that all her extremities are sewn in, rather than on.

As I mention in the little collage and on my DA page: the spring fawn has some free customization options for those who are interested:
  • Choice of eye color (within reason, no rainbow eyes!)
  • Choice of spot/freckle pattern (within reason, no leopard deer!)
  • Choice of ear/tail size (teenie, or huge!)
For 10.00$ more you can have your fawn made with your choice of your favorite one or two color fabrics.

Here are a few extra, in-progress pictures for those of you who may be curious!

Please ignore my messy crafting table...slash coffee table.
Freshly finished!
That's all for now dears!
